This quote seems to be a projection of how she felt. Her mental desease must have affected her profoundly. I guess she tried to hide her condition to must people, expressing in public a completely different persona of who she really was and how she felt.
Does her quote also entail a little bit about her works? I know she wrote something about the stream of consciousness, just wanted to know if that contributes to her quotation.

The younger generation today is constantly told that they are "special" snowflakes, each and every snowflake is different and has unique qualities and
requires the upmost respect and praise from all surrounding peoples. But what the "snowflake" fails to acknowledge is the shear fact of respect is given when you respect others, not scoff at them for their different values or different qualities. You don't have to understand them, you just have to respect them for the same way you respect yourself. After all, everyone's a special snowflake, right?

I have plenty of these install disks laying around my house and I can't find a need for them; however, they offer me some sort of sentimental value, some sort of mawkish weirdness that newer operating systems don't do. Does anyone else experience this strange nostalgia? It's quite depressing.
