Greetings from the Great Southern Land.
enjoy your spring

As one living in the southern hemisphere I have told someone in the northern hemisphere to "enjoy your summer".
Even here in Aust the seasons that are experienced in the tropics are very different those in the temperate zone. So a conversation about autumn between an aunt (in the tropics) and myself went something like:
Me: I think autumn is the nicest time - cool nights and clear sunny days.
Aunt: My <experience of> autumn is muggy and wet.
waste me two hours

I quite like "wasted me two hours". It's a bit quirky but it appeals to me.
Compare to: I was really hassled with only one day to get everything packed and moved; Sue saved me two hours by packing up the kitchen bitsn.
I know I'm using something like sophistry here, by using 'saved' as the opposite of 'wasted'.
Thoughts? . . .
