Another possibility is that your "treasure" is from Rein, Italy. That still leaves the letters "nck" a mystery for now.
Now nck cannot link with fork...But,rein Italy, maybe it is a thread.
You know,we don't use fork before 100years ago...fork is come from the country oversea.
it's made in Rein?

[color=indigo]It could be the abbreviation of the company that manufactured the "treasure" - such as
Reinhart Necklaces, Rhode Island
. Is the treasure a necklace, by chance?
There are REIN neck ties on zazzle.com. It might help if you can give us more specifics about your "treasure."
Now we know it is a fork...do you got any new idea? Go on.

Sure it is not a really bad knock-off Renoir?

This is a ...... well ... a ... a ... it's a dinner fork !
A bath metal , white brass dinner fork !
I am not sure whether it is actually a "treasure".
But since it has been handed down in the family for so long , it must has a story. I will try to find out...
Now,the word,【REINNCKRI】 marks on the fork , that's really ... a mystery.
Do you have an answer ? Or deduce it enjoy your way , please.
For me ... I gonna find this fork's master's father's father ...... or maybe " 's father " again...
I am now interesting...in what has "happen" in this fork one hundred years ago...
See you ...
