Topic: driving and cellphones...bad idea
Posted: Thursday, May 27, 2010 6:50:32 PM
It's sad when somebody is hurt for a reazon that stupid, but a chid? I want to punch her face until her teeth dance the polka.

The modern cell phones comes with hands-free features, such as voice command, even the most cheap models can dial a number and you dont even need to use your hands.

Then, why the #$/(%& they don't use the hands-free controls?

I cannot make a generalization, but some people apparently think they look cool (idiots) with a cell phone in their hands, even when they are driving. Stupid bunch of donkeys (with my appologies to the real donkeys).

In my country, it's against the law, but the police don't even bother, maybe they think is noth worth their time.

They should ask the innocent victims.

Think about it.
Topic: NECESITO AYUDA CON LOS PRONOMBRES PERSONALES, POR FAVOR! GRACIAS!
Posted: Thursday, April 29, 2010 7:37:22 PM

Saludos.
Topic: What does Mexico do to those who enter their country illegally?
Posted: Thursday, April 29, 2010 2:37:47 PM
Well, many of the participants of this forum have preconceived ideas about México.

Why México have that harsh laws about foreigners?

Let me tell you: México has been invaded, not once, not twice, but several times, and I can recall USA violated the mexican borders two times.

Why USA have that apparent freedom about foreigners? They went into wars, and the illegal workers were the safeline for bussinessmen, farmers and factories owners. Now, times have changed, and many politicos think that does not need the illegal workers.

I do not condone the illegal inmigration. That men, women and children seek a better opportunity, but doing it in another country in a illegal status is not correct.

I'm not justificating my country and the way the authorities treat the illegal inmigrants, but it's the result of an history of invations.

The illegal inmigration is no right, but USA had used illegal workers for years when it was convenient for them.

But you can be sure that, in México, you do not be stopped in the street just for your phisical appareance.

And one more thing. I cannot remember the source, but an american analist said that the Arizona law was applied for electoral reasons only. The ghost of the illegal worker that endanger the american workers...

..."Look!", said the politician, "we are taking care of you, and your registered vote."

Maybe we mexicanos, are being hipócritas about this, but you need an hipócrita to identify another hipócrita.

But I digress. Yes, it's not fair the way mexican authorities treat the illegal inmigrants (by the way, they are on their way to USA). The laws are the result of historical invations. Not a excuse, but a reason.

And please do not talk about the mote in somebbody else's eye and not the beam in one's.

Think about it.

The best sport?

All the ma$$ $port$ like american football or soccer football are to me like the armies of gorillas dressed in colorfull uniforms fighting to gain the last coconut of the plain.

Politics too.

Real sports show the fitness and the elegance of the human body, the inteligence of the brain, and the greeks knew it, that's why they crated the olimpic games, the time when the politics were forgotten, there, they went to show that beauty of the human body; with stragy (inteligence) they did run, jump and launch the disc and the javelin. Even greek-roman grappling reflects that aestetics.

For me, olimpic games.
Topic: A moment please, for the good old days of being a child

Why, and I thought I was really a boring adult.

The grass under my feet, drinking water from any faucet (and not form a plastic bottle), no cell phone, playing with my school friends, learning from a book (well now I learn from books and Internet, but I keep learning), riding a bike on the street (without care for the cars), playing soccer in the middle of the street...

My oh my!, my childhood memories are still fresh, and I can do all of them.

I guess in my heart, I'm still a child.

That means I will live forever.

Hola.

Saludos.

Catastrophes realy happens, and they are catastrophes because there are human beings involved.

In the past, Mississipi River went wild, flooding all the lands next to its course, knocking down thousand of acres of forest. Wild life was wasted.

Why nobody called this a catastrophe?

This happenend when there was no humans in North America, the geologists knew of this event by geological evidence. In this moment, a repeticion of that river performance would be a desaster.

Maggie is right: quakes happen.

Besides, nobody realy understand Mayan Prophesies, some bodysaid that 'end of the world' means 'a change of mankind way of thinking'.

Who knows realy?

Greetings
Topic: Why do non-Christians celebrate Christmas?
Posted: Wednesday, December 23, 2009 4:18:39 PM
Please think about the spirit, the drive of the people enjoying this celebration.

In this day and age, Christmas is more than the celebration of the birth of the greatest of the teachers (and no, I'm not catholic, nor christian; I'm more like a cientific believer, that's why I think of Jesus as a teacher, the greatest). If you love your family, wives, husbands, daughters, sons, grandfathers, grandmothers, and everyone, this season is to make your loves ones happy, to see the delighted faces of the children when they open a gift. The lovely eyes of your wife (in my case) whe she open a box and find the gift of my heart.

THAT is Christmas. The gifts are not important, only the feelings.

They shun Christmas for because their religion? Their loss, because the joy don't belong to the religion, tha happiness belongs to human beings.

By the way... Merry christmas!! Happy new year 2010!! And I don't care about your beliefs!! I care about you as a person!!
Topic: monogamy

Monogamy and Promiscuity, say the anthopologists, are survival tools. Chimpanzee is our more close genetic cousin, the difference between chimpanzee and human DNA is less than 2%, why humans are on their way to the stars and chimpanzees are on their way to the jungle? Reviewing their behavior, the chimpanzees are certainly prone to be sexualy 'open', while humans are prone (not totaly but close) to monogamy. Well, this will be a shock for some of you that justify infidelity with evolutionary jargon: the human race became inteligent because monogamy.

The experts say that child care stress over the energy applied to survival, and children are vital for the species continuation. The first evolutionated humans stressed for survival and children care found a very useful stretegy: team work. The male and female became a couple. The male protects the female and the children they procreated. The female can use their time and energy to raise the kids. Both tasks need strategy, need a plan, need coordination, both between the couple and their group; that path leads to inteligence.

Another shock, this time to veggies: the only way the human brain in evolution could become that big, allowing better inteligent process, is eating protein... Animal protein. When the first humans changed their eating ways becoming omnivores, including meat in their diet, their brains could evolve, increasing its size, becoming inteligents.

But, who said that humans are totaly evolved? We are changing still. Humans are inteligen but not THAT interligent. There are still many ape traits in human behavior, such as promiscuity, but monogamy was the way to become inteligent humans. Think like this: we are the 'missing link' between the ape and the more inteligent human, that being that will respect the diferences, and will work with the similarities. Only time will tell...
