Nice point! Love the word "subversive", which is the kind of power artists do have. Seems that Mr.Kennedy believed "art for art's sake", which is a total cliche to me, for artists limited in their own narrow area is just a sad consequence of specialisaion, and being socially isolated results in an egocentric art as well as failing to make changes in the society as a whole.
