American schools connected socialism with communism during the cold war. It makes us recall drills we had of what to do if we were under attack. So we may have "knee jerk" reactions rather than thoughtful discourse of alternatives to US democracy.

If he designed it for a team project,state that. If he worked on the project with a team, you could say that he was part of a team which studied....

How long will you be there is a more natural way to say this though both options are okay.

I thinkthe sentence is technically grammatical, but a bit awkward. Probably due to using both past and present tenses.

I would suggest From childhood my husband and I were both taught the importance of education.

No it doesn't work.
If the boy is In the box, HIS mother, not her would call to him.

So, The boy is hiding in the box. His mother asks him to come out of the box.
However,the boy remains hidden

I use "so" to suggest a similarity or likeness.eg: the dancer stepped so that she appeared to fly across the stage.

So much usually refers to quanity. He grew so much taller this year.

I hope this is helpful. Others are so much better at explaining this that I hope they reply too
