Topic: The verbs
Posted: Friday, March 13, 2015 4:43:28 PM
Okay, I write a sentence:

Hitler was a German dictator who despised Jews.
(random sentence i just made up)

"was" in this sentence is a linking verb (Subject = Hitler, Dictator = Predicate Nominative [renaming hilter] so therefore the verb in between is a linking verb)

and a being verb is:

The Jews were tormented by Hitler, a German Dictator.

the "were tormented" is a sign of passive voice.

Are linking verbs also considered a being verb?
thanks,

I think it used long time ago, I rarely hear that.
"pet" means adorable, good,
Be a pet as in be a good boy/girl and get me a glass of water.
hope that helps,

I wonder what it is that chocolate and other sweets are not good for animals. I mean, yeah, they aren't the most healthy for humans too, but why do animals get sick?

Apparently, Jesus was born early april. The pagans were worshiping the 'winter solstice' several days late. They called it the birthday of the sun. when Christians shared the gospel with them, they changed it to the birthday of the Son, to relate to their culture.

merry CHRIST-mas to all of you!

wow... i am amazed at these simple but deep words.
it hurts to shut things away. they come out again to frighten you, to make you feel you've lost control. but- you really want your friends to see the cover title only...
