it had to be like this anyway...beside this we would be doomed! Work keeps the world at peace and undercontrol, though it sucks!

Agatha Christie wrote a lot of books, most of them mysteries. I suspect this quote is taken from one of the over 80 books that she wrote, probably uttered by one of her fictional characters who wanted to say something profound but missed the mark. I also looked up the word “work” on Free Dictionary.com, but there are so many definitions and uses for the word that trying to figure out in what context the word is meant in this quote would be quite too much work for me, so I decided to let it forever remain a mystery…hmmm, I think Agatha would support me in that.
