THE MAN UPSTAIRS - A Tense Situation That Developed Into A Romanced (THE MAN UPSTAIRS AND OTHER STORIES by P. G. Wodehouse) A particularly maddening hour with one of her pupils drove her up the very next day. Her pupils were at once her salvation and her despair. They gave her the means of supporting life, but they made life hardly worth supporting. Some of them were learning the piano. Others thought they sang. All had solid ivory skulls. There was about a teaspoonful of grey matter distributed among the entire squad, and the pupil Annette had been teaching that afternoon had come in at the tail-end of the division. Comment :(In the Title story the man upstairs is not a reference to the God generally found in heaven accompanying the Larch on the Thorn in P G Wodehouse’s idyllic but an Artist attempting to court the composer downstairs by banging on the ceiling.) http://www.gutenberg.org/files/6768/6768-h/6768-h.htm#THE_MAN_UPSTAIRS

If there's a learning curve, then there's a hope... Let's it soak for a while. Who knows where, when, and how it all works?

How true Mr. Wodehouse! Supporting may also be seen as providing information to return the system (let's say life) to stability. It should not be the other way round. waman absara biha bassarat'hu (If one sees through it, it would bestow him sight): When one loves a thing it blinds him and sickens his heart. Then he sees but with a diseased eye, hears but with unhearing ears. Desires have cut asunder his wit and the world has made his heart dead, while his mind is all longing for it. Someone once asked Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib about the signs of -shi’as and he replied: "Their bellies are thin through hunger and their lips dry through thirst... "
Now I am going to do pushups. Thanks!

Wodehouse (1881-1975) It is like alcoholics (AA, NA, SA - big cliques - selling "atonement" to their ignorant members who spit on the Creator) who get placed to become directors (sorry, a better term - dictators - THEY MAKE YOU HOMELESS - and then beat their false chest how they are "helping the poor homeless" (with their DIRTY-CHARACTER "charity"). There are the homeless who are worthier than those cliques, the cliques who humiliate honest, hard-working people of good character) -those cliques, to "atone" for the evil, give you a job (when one of their alcoholics mistreats and neglects his family), but then mistreat you and lie against you (even more when you stand up against their lies and manipulations that focus on communication games - of course you are the one who does not know how to communicate - joking, ha,ha,ha - it is the dysfuction of the progressive disease that makes them communication frauds (they create their ANIMAL FARM CHAIN OF COMMAND to protect their progressive illness to do evil), but they do not have humility to admit it. They do not want to give you more hours of gainful employment because they want to show to you how "superior" they are. They do not want to leave you in peace and enjoy life with you, but they "innocently" cause your cancer - but they are very good at arranging their dirty charities (just like drug dealers who organize rehab institutions from government money to treat those they have sold drugs to so that they could put dirty money in their pockets) to "help" you arrange your own funeral. Cheers to all AA alcoholics anonymous, NA narcotics anonymous, SA sex anonymous! They are "successful", aren't they!!!! Cheers to atonement-mongers, you've been sober to do your evil work... of course, you are helpless because you have a progressive disease ... but you have the high position of power ... how lovely ... aren't you a conceited lot living a day at a time, lying in your 12-steps, beating your chests that you are "sober"!... like to break rules that you expect others to follow, and to be worshiped, and to create an illusion that you are peoples' "gods/goddesses" ("in heaven as it is on earth) Ha, ha, ha! There is no true sobriety as long as you lie and put others down with your weapon >>> your sickness, money, megalomania-sick "power", miserly greed....

I will commiserate with the teacher if that was not in the world of Woodehouse. She is lucky that the tables are turned on the pupils in this one

It can hardly be called quotation. Without any context added, such excerpts are almost meaningless.
