I don´t know if in your countries you celebrate Mother´s Day the same date. Well, im my country is tomorrow Sunday. I just want to congratulate all mums that are part of this forum. Mothers are those special women who give their unconditional love and protection. That unparalled haven of confidence and trust. Best wishes to you all.

"When you have a mother, treat her with tender care;
For you will never know the worth of her,
till you see her vacant chair"
In India, I doubt whether there is any mother's day. But we have so many God days and one Gold day and on that day people madly purchase Gold and store it.

I already wished my mother a happy Mother's day, kissed her, and hugged her. My hands were as empty as when I came out of her womb though (I didn't buy any gifts [sorry Macy's])!

Thanks, MIB. Best wishes to you and your mother, wherever she is.

I also want to say Thank You to MIB. I was never one of those girls who saw themselves as a mother and in fact many people later said that they had never seen me in this role. Yet I know I would never be the person I am today if it were not for two wonderful men in this world whom I was priviliged to have guided and supported through the early years of their life's journey. They, in their turn, have given me support and guidance and, for those who say Mother's Day is a load of Hallmark-type baloney, I wanna say that to-day, as I drink wine and listen to the incredible rap sounds of my youngest son, motherhood is unrivalled.

I join with MIB to rejoice in this day and wish every other mother in the world joy and love everlasting.

Thank you, MIB. I love being a mother and my greatest joy is to have all my children together - a rarity these days as the older ones have gone off to make their own lives in distant places. Today, they are all here, so this is a beautiful day for me. I hope all the mums on this forum are having a chilled, blessed and lovely mothers' day, too.

My mother is gone but she was wonderful, lovely and charming. I knew every minute that she was here that she loved me and was 100% behind me in everything I did. Now I am a mother to an adult son and it has been a joy. He just gave me my present. He is going to spend the day with me. A better present could not be had.

Cherish the time you have with your mother. Mine passed away in 1998 at the untimely age of 59 after a long illness:

Mother passed in April,
And the Lord replied with early spring,
and cried cherry blossom tears.

I miss you Ma.

Thank you, MIB. I add my best wishes to all mothers in the forum.

In the UK it was March, as LouLou said for Lebanon.
