I totally agree and that is because we can't control how others see us... so it is not just how we present ourselves to others but it is also how they see us...

And very few of us seem what we think we are.
Once more I thank you, Dame Agatha, for your wisdom and wit.

Very few of us are what we seem.
Agatha Christie (1890-1976)
... or more precisely expressed: None of us are what we seem.
Nobody can guess from anyone's appearance (which determines the way we "seem") what is within anyone's mind.

Quite apropos Agatha's quote, a friend of mine argued yesterday - with a certain degree of truthful irony - that; "We are all the antithesis of how others view us".

Very few of us are what we seem . . . .
WHY?
a) Because of the masks we wear b) Because we're afraid to let others in c) Few of us truly know ourselves d) The perception of others will vary beyond our control e) Agatha just liked a good mystery f) All of the above g) None of the above h) No one cares i) TBD
