Gordon Brown's blunder with his microphone still turned on has left him rather embarrassed.
On the BBC new this morning, after speaking with one of his constituents, he got into his the Limo and was speaking to his aides, saying what he really thought.

Yes, he could have easily got his foot in his mouth today. He may have lost his party a great number of votes as the lady was asking a valid question/s which he didn't seem able to answer. I would bet he won't make that blunder again. Silenced d'oh!

Is it a UK thing?, I remember seeing Prince Charles caught out in a similar way.
Yes the ladies question sounded perfectly legitimate, to me.

This was on the English language TV channel this morning - in China!
I couldn't resist a laugh.

I just now saw the clip of this on the news. And to think people got up in arms about V.P. Biden's whispered cuss word being picked up by a mike.

What does "And to think", as used here, means?

It's just my way of saying that it is pretty amazing to think that folks made a fuss over Biden's minor faux pas when it could have been so much worse by comparison.

You're very welcome. I was afraid my explanation may have been a little too brief, so I am glad you understood my point.
