Solar Impulse 2 has landed safely in Oman on the first leg of its quest to be the first plane to fly around the world fueled only by the sun's rays. The solar-powered plane took off from Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates early on Monday with pilot ... More...

This is only the early stage of this like the Wright Brothers in 1903. Later this will get faster and faster and before long hopefully all the planes will be solar powered. We would have never thought that the wright brothers plane would go as fast as they do today and carry as many passengers.
