Vladimir Lenin Dies

A Russian revolutionary and leader of the Bolshevik party, Lenin was a main player in the overthrow of the Russian monarchy and the creation of the Soviet Union. Trained as a lawyer, he began studying Marxism in the 1890s and soon adapted it to his own theory, Leninism. In 1917, he became virtual dictator of Russia, with Joseph Stalin and Leon Trotsky as his chief advisors, but he later unsuccessfully called for Stalin's removal from the post of general secretary. What caused Lenin's death? More...

The world needs another Lenin type character to re adjust the balance between rich and poor. Why do the rich need to be so damned greedy, it doesn't seem to be enough to be rich, they want it all :( Where is their humanity ?

LENIN , AMONG OTHERS , PROVES IT IS BEST TO NOT HAVE A SOCIETY
RULED BY ONE PERSON'S IDEALS. BEST TO HAVE THE SAFE EXCHANGE OF
IDEALS & A BALANCE OF POWER TO SECURE THE WELFARE OF ALL .

What is a Lenin type character? The one who moves to power with maniacal brutality?

You must have never read Lenin's letters and telegrams of 1918 published in volume 50 of his collected works. This is just one of them.

Quote:
″Where trade and manufactures are wanting to a people, and the spirit of nobility and religion remains, sentiment supplies, and not always ill supplies their place; but if commerce and the arts should be lost in an experiment to try how well a state may stand without these old fundamental principles, what sort of a thing must be a nation of gross, stupid, ferocious, and at the same time, poor and sordid barbarians, destitute of religion, honor, or manly pride, possessing nothing at present, and hoping for nothing hereafter? I wish you may not be going fast, and by the shortest cut, to that horrible and disgustful situation. Already there appears a poverty of conception, a coarseness and vulgarity in all the proceedings of the assembly and of all their instructors. Their liberty is not liberal. Their science is presumptuous ignorance. Their humanity is savage and brutal.″

From what I read from the link you provided it sounds like he wanted to hang all the wealthy, greedy people who were taken advantage of the common people. I think that's a good idea. We should hang the greedy wealthy in our country who don't help others with the wealth they have gained with the help of our social programs, low taxes that they pay if any and the min. wage they impose on their employees. what killed Communist leader Vladimir Ilyich Lenin?

Lenin died of a massive stroke in 1924--but he was quite young, and speakers at a "clinicopathological conference" took it upon themselves to answer two questions: "Why did he have a fatal stroke at such a young age? Was there something more to his death than history has acknowledged?"

The New York Times reported that the scientists reviewed Lenin's family and medical history, including the bullets that remained in his body from an assassination attempt, and his exercise and health regimens. They were interested particularly in the fact that before his death, Lenin suffered several seizures--which are unusual in a stroke patient, leading them to wonder if poison were the cause.

Dr. Lurie concurred on Friday, telling the conference that poison was in his opinion the most likely immediate cause of Lenin’s death. The most likely perpetrator? Stalin, who saw Lenin as his main obstacle to taking over the Soviet Union and wanted to get rid of him.

Stalin, according to the Times, had sent a top-secret note to the Politburo in 1923 claiming that Lenin had asked him to help him commit suicide. While Stalin claimed to be unable to do so, the fact that an order was given after Lenin's death that no toxicology be done on his body makes the allegation of poison impossible to prove.

Still, it's fascinating to wonder how different things might have been if Lenin had lived and Stalin hadn't wound up in charge of the USSR.

It was not Lenin's ideas nor his direction regarding socialistic communism, rather the corrupt bureaucrat's that follow him. Presently, we have the same corrupt individuals in America, they are called Republicans.

May I ask you a few questions, PDX1209?

1. Your signature goes, "When we lose the right to be different, we lose the right to be free". Don't you think that it contradicts your desire to make all people equal by destroying those who are wealthy?

2. TDF defines 'greedy' like having or showing a strong or excessive desire to acquire money or possess things, especially wishing to possess more than what one needs or deserves.

Who, according to your plan, will decide whether a person's desire to acquire money is strong or not? Who will decide if it is excessive or not? Who is going to be the judge?

3. If social programs and low taxes are the only causes of their wealth, who stops you from taking advantage of those and become rich?

4. In order to make the world more fair, wouldn't it be easier to raise the taxes, in case they are really too low, and readdress the social programs to the poor than to hang thousands of people?

5. Have you ever thought why the Soviet Union collapsed? It's because people were equal in terms of their property. They were not motivated to work effectively and to work in general, not motivated to invent anything new. What for, if you are going to get the same salary as without doing those?

Not Lenin's ideas?

"We want to achieve a new and better order of society: in this new and better society there must be neither rich nor poor; all will have to work. Not a handful of rich people, but all the working people must enjoy the fruits of their common labour. Machines and other improvements must serve to ease the work of all and not to enable a few to grow rich at the expense of millions and tens of millions of people. This new and better society is called socialist society. The teachings about this society are called 'socialism'."

Vladimir Lenin, "To the Rural Poor".

That society had only existed for seventy years before it collapsed, being unviable.

It wouldn't have made any difference, I believe. It was Lenin who in August of 1918 demanded that those who are against the soviets should be put in the concentration camps.

Give them Hell, Helenej.

The socialist romanticizing on this thread means some need to open a history book or watch the footage of the carnage the evil Despots they Worship demanded.
