Men are given physical strength and they need to make use of this strength with a better sense of purpose and responsibility towards the society

Theater is, of course, a reflection of life. Maybe we have to improve life before we can hope to improve theater.

Francis Bacon (1561-1626) A rare quotation from "The Advancement of Learning", 1605. Indeed, in this theater of life man can hardly be an onlooker: If he lives he must strive. From the same source: "Seek first the virtues of the mind; and other things either will come, or will not be wanted."

Who's taking the place of an executive producer in this arrangement if not God?

Very simply, humans are meant to live life, not be bystanders in their lives.

I agree with Mactoria and Gary98.
And of course Striker is right; most men need to exercise their humble gene. Testosterone, good thing run amok at times ;-}

There are quite a few voyeurs in this theater, though. But it's true these voyeurs don't have the panoramic view of the ones above us.

It is very doubtful that Francis Bacon had voyeurs in mind when he wrote about who alone may claim the role of "lookers on in this theater of man's life."

Online Etymology Dictionary
voyeur (n.)
scopophiliac, 1889 as a French word in English, from French voyeur, literally "one who views or inspects," from voir "to view," from Latin videre "to see" (see vision).
Je ne puis pourtant omettre une catégorie de sadistes assez étonnants; ce sont ceux qu'on désigne sous le nom de "voyeurs." Ceux-ci cherchent une excitation dans les spectacles impudiques. [Léo Taxil]
Google translate "Yet I can not omit a category of pretty amazing sadists; are those which is designated by the name of "voyeurs." They seek excitement in lewd shows"
If you wish to tone down the true meaning of a phrase, say it in French
