Americans with HIV Undertreated

Only 30 percent of Americans infected with HIV have the virus under control, according to a new report by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Based on statistics from 2011, the report found that the remaining 70 percent failed to achieve "viral suppression" for a number of reasons. Of those individuals, 66 percent were not getting regular care; 20 percent were unaware they were infected; 10 percent were unable to suppress the virus with antiretroviral treatment; and 4 percent were not prescribed antiretroviral drugs. I wonder what the Aussie stats are? & worldwide? We think of HIV as having been beaten, but it's still out there, & it's still killing. I'm paranoid about safe sex. Well, not paranoid, because it's a perfectly rational fear. Like Gadhafi said: "It's not paranoia to think someone's trying to kill you when someone's trying to kill you!"

Could a large part of the problem with not lowering the number of infected people is due to the Radical Religious Republican Right, that believe this is only a homosexual disease and it is a great way to eliminate those people, that they consider unworthy to live?

We all know the story of medical aid issue in America, I quess that maybe its one of the reasons why people are not looking after their health.

Well lets hope the CDC will do a better job regarding the Ebola crises, but I really doubt it as it is again centered within a "minority" environment; you jus got'a love America and all of the nice Christian people that carry their books of stories around with them, just to show the world how pious they are...........
