And The Mountains Echoed by Khalid Hosseini

I have just finished reading this book and it brought me to tears. I think he writes very well… in a manner so uncontrived… and draws his three dimensional characters with art and skill. I recommend it as a good read.

It is about following the lives of interconnected families, mostly from Afghanistan and the reuniting of a sister with her brother from whom she was torn away from at the tender age of three and half. It is very poignant at times and well observed.

It's a Nobel-price stuff.
