What does 'sharper' mean here? I don't think it means 'cheater'

The pictures have been made clearer with more definition, picture quality. It is a very good use of the word sharper.

The left half of the photograph is sharp, the right one is blurred.

The difference is that the sharper the photo the more minute details you can discern.

Imagine photos of a black-white chessboard with the size of the square sufficiently tiny for the purpose. On the sharp one you will still see the

chessboard, whereas on the other one you will only see a smooth grey plane.
