Hi guys, I would like to ask you if the expressions in bold are correct in the following sentences:
At low fields (0.1 T), Jc for Mg(B0.98C0.02)2 was 8.52 ×105 A/cm2 at 11 K and 5.92 ×105 A/cm2 at 22 K, about 40% smaller than the respective values of the undoped MgB2 samples (at the same temperatures). However/On the other hand, the Jc value at 11K was about 20% larger than that for Mg(B0.918C0.082)2 and nearly 70% larger than that of Mg(B0.961C0.039)2, whilst the critical current density performance of Mg(B0.98C0.02)2 at 22 K was two times as high as the respective values for the other two C doped samples.

Okay I am not really familiar with what you are writing about but in my opinion you don't need to say "on the other hand" as it doesn't really add anything to the meaning. By saying "however" you imply that there is other information that is different from the previous stated information. So I would delete the express as it isn't necessary nor does it add clarity.

Even though I don't know what you're talking about in the text, I understand what you wanted to say. However and on the other hand have the same meaning, so you can choose either. I'd go for however, if I were you.
Hope I helped!

To comment only on the words in bold, yes, they are correct. I would use, "However", in the second sentence, as others have also suggested.
