World Space Week

In 1999, the United Nations designated October 4-10 as World Space Week. The week celebrates the contributions that space science and technology have made to improving life on Earth. October 4 was chosen to commemorate the former USSR's October 4, 1957, launch of Sputnik, the first manmade satellite in space. October 10 honors the 1967 signing of the UN Treaty on Principles Governing the Activities of States in the Exploration and Use of Outer Space. More...

World Space Week 2014

This year, the World Space Week Association have selected selected " Space: Guiding Your Way" as the theme for WSW. This relates to the benefits of satellite navigation to society and is vividly illustrated on the WSW 2014 poster by young Polish space artist Aga Kumuda.

Of course this is a wonderful thing/idea for the young, but how about spending the same amount of time on our oceans and the investigation of that major part of OUR EARTH. God-damn the human animal is one dump creature...
