I do not think you know that I am always a zealot for your sake ... my Princess ... I am beginning to think that, though you are a wife, you do not understand even the rudiments of love.

Before we label others mindless zealots, are we sure we are not seen as such by those same people?

Zealots are extremely intolerant of opposing views. They really think that they have the answer.

Zealot used in poetry:

"To what Stupidity are Zealots grown,
Whose Inhumanity profusely shown
In Damning Crowds of Souls, may Damn their own.
I'll err at least on the securer Side,
A Convert free from Malice and from Pride."

"On Mr. Dryden's Religio Laici" by Wentworth Dillon

Zealot used in another poem:

I met a man,
Let's call him Peter Pan;
When I came in,
He flew out;
When I came out,
He flew in;
But he really was always -
Round about;
Just hiding here, and there -
A Zealot.
I knew one day that he would
Tell it;
Like it is,
And more to boot;
One can never be sure of,
A man in a suit.
That's why I love,
My Peter Pan;
He makes me feel,
That I can!
