Gaming in Small Doses Has Benefits for Kids

The adage "Everything in moderation" appears to apply even to video games. A recent study finds that youngsters between the ages of 10 and 15 who spend an hour or less a day playing video games are better adjusted and report more satisfaction with their lives than those who do not play at all, while those who play video games for more than three hours a day are less well adjusted than their peers. I used to play video/computer games obsessively and I also found my life compromised and dissatisfying.

The key here is "small doses." In most cases, that is easier said than done.

Given that, are well adjusted kids more likely to want to play games in small doses?

Perhaps the researches have the cart before the horse.
