A soul can belong only to one person; not to two people. One can take poetic license to say that two people reside in one soul, but it is utter rubbish, on a realistic level. When it comes to the spiritual realm, it is better to permit the experts to deal with it, than attempt at silly statements which make one look foolish in the public eye.

She has clearly said the substance of their souls are made of the same stuff, not that they have the same soul. Her statement might also be interpreted to be a claim of female equality.
As far as "leaving it to the experts", I want no part of that. The "experts" have given us the Spanish inquisition, witch burnings, the crusades, and all manner of other truely evil acts trumped up as excuses to achieve personal and political goals.

Emily Bronte was trying to succeed in a 'man's world.' Her book, Wuthering Heights, shows that she manifestly achieved that. I agree with Mythman's post. .. but I also think that Moni had a temporary blind spot which in no way reflects on his/her intelligence.

All the souls belong to 'the one'. For the same reason, all the souls are same, though they appeared to be different.
