munificent

(adjective) Very liberal in giving; generous.

Synonyms: lavish, unsparing, unstinting

Usage: In recognition of this munificent patronage of the State's languishing industries, the Governor commissioned him a colonel.

Why 'marzipan'?
Commissioned as in the governor requested that he become a colonel, it became his new designation

The munificent lifestyle of some of our politicians is an insult to the shrinking middle class.

The way they fly around in private jets (replete with their own chefs), stay at luxurious hotels, dine at four-star restaurants, and wear expensive suits and gowns is inappropriate in a republic where "public servants" are supposed to serve the people.

I don't need a private jet for marzipan. I can get it right at the source(s) here in Lübeck. It makes munificent gifts.
And sarah, there are many degrees of sweetness you can choose from.
