Let's have a paronomasia thread. I'll start.

"I tried to pay homage, but I was overcharged"
"Rap is like scissors, it always loses to rock"
"If Paul Walker was a conversationalist, he'd be Paul Talker"
"The only difference between a pizza and my pizza jokes, is my pizza jokes can't be topped"

Welcome to the forums, Your Highness.

May I humbly suggest you move your thread to the 'Games' division.
It deems me to be more appropriate.

Although puns are considered by some to be the lowest form of humor and a waste of time, I think clever wordplay can be very helpful for anyone trying to develop vocabulary. Although I rarely comment on this forum, I think it is inappropriate for IMcRout to run roughshod over such efforts.

I see nothing brutal in IMcRout's comment.

Neither do I. His comments seemed completely courteous.
I wonder, Mr. Flanagan, have you been reading posts here on the forum very long; long enough to get a feel for the different personalities residing here?
I think not, for you have misread IMcRout. You really haven't seen him ride roughshod yet...Whistle

I am sorry Mr Flanagan if I have hurt your feelings.

I wouldn't have answered like this if I hadn't been sure that our dear Rap God was quite capable of understanding the humorous vein of my remarks.

Not only his (?) name, but also the name of his (?) thread - which if you hadn't known, is a synonym of 'pun' - as well as his suggestions themselves indicate that he (?) is not unfamiliar with humour.

Furthermore does his (?) diction suggest that he (?) is not someone who is "trying to develop vocabulary", on the contrary. He (?) seems quite well-versed.

I might have understood if you had chastised him (?) for making a pun on the late Mr Walker and I can well believe that my inclination towards "the lowest form of humor" and towards wasting my time is irritating to some, but this little imp on my left shoulder ...

We had this punography thread here in Vocabulary, though...

Hey, IMcRout seems pretty cool to me. At 17.29-something posts a day, the dude must know something about where shit should be posted.

It was my mistake.
