Does anyone still use or at least have (own) a fully functioning typewriter ? Are they still sold, or just less commonly ? I could Google such things, but sometimes the responses on here from users are much more useful and well-involved.

I love the clicking noise as you type each key.

Such an antiquated but nostalgic kind of machine.

My sister gave me a typewriter she had from the 1980s, but I have no idea what happened to it. Darn.

Yes, I still have an electric Brother typewriter that is probably at least 20 years old by now.

Does anybody have an IBM Selectric? I always thought those were the coolest typewriters.

In all the consignment shopping I've been doing lately, I keep running across typewriters - the older kinds, with the ink ribbon. I'd really like to purchase one, but I have a concern: are ink ribbons for typewriters still sold?

Yes, I still have an electric IBM Wheelwriter 15 Typewriter that is probably at least 10 years old by now. The machine was serviced a couple months ago by company Enjoy Depot and now works fine. Sure, you can buy Ribbons and Correction Tapes. This is not a problem.
