Judge Sturgess said, "Justice is open to everyone in the same way as the Ritz Hotel."

Robert Frost quipped, "A jury consists of twelve persons chosen to decide who has the better lawyer."

"It is not a Justice System. It is just a system." -- Bob Enyart

"This is a court of law, young man, not a court of justice." Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr.

John Edgar Hoover opined, "Justice is incidental to law and order." (I don't believe he was in a dress at the moment.)

"The more laws, the more offenders." -- Thomas Fuller.

"Law never made men a whit more just." -- Henry David Thoreau.

"The United States is the greatest law factory the world has ever known." -- Charles Evans Hughes.

The jury, passing on the prisoner's life,
May in the sworn twelve have a thief or two
Guiltier than him they try.
