Thanks, thar. Nice pics from all the others, too!

Now, is this from the siege of Barad-dûr, Mordor (II 3434-3441) or from Passchendaele, Belgium (1917)?

The hydroelectric power company Kemijoki Ltd, in Rovaniemi, Finland, has aquired photography works called The river has... from Kaisa Sirén. The photographs have been taken in May 2008 at the Valajaskoski hydro power-plant, just above the plant itself during the spring flooding time. The photographs are of huge whirlpools forming above the plant. However the viewer can see many forms such as an eye of a bird, a grasshopper, and eagle or whatever the imagination produces. The company is currently looking for a good location to hang the works up at their Rovaniemi headquarters.

That is really an 'eyeful', JJ. I love (photographing) water in most of its forms.

Almost 30 years ago, vacationing at an Italian lake I found these shoes.
If you want, you can listen to some music while looking at the photos.

Storks are large, long-legged, long-necked wading birds with long, stout bills. They belong to the family Ciconiidae. They are the only family in the biological order Ciconiiformes, which was once much larger and held a number of families. Relatives include the Heron/Ibis/Egret... These birds display a graceful, fluid and poetic-like flight...
