I had something awesome happen to me yesterday, today, last week, whenever.
If nothing to report, fake it!

We picked the fastest lane at customs when crossing the border yesterday!

Something similar happened to me in the supermarket. As a result I emerged 25 seconds ealier than anticipated thus altering the entire subsequent course of my life.

The idea is not necessarily to use the word 'awesome'. It is just to tell what you think is awesome, clever or not.

Hi Everybody!

awesome
adjective awe-inspiring, striking, shocking, imposing, terrible, amazing, stunning, wonderful, alarming, impressive, frightening, awful, overwhelming, terrifying, magnificent, astonishing, horrible, dreadful, formidable, horrifying, intimidating, fearful, daunting, breathtaking, majestic, solemn, fearsome, wondrous (archaic or literary), redoubtable, jaw-dropping, stupefying, gee-whizz (slang) the awesome responsibility of sending men into combat

Collins Thesaurus of the English Language – Complete and Unabridged 2nd Edition. 2002 © HarperCollins Publishers 1995, 2002

Even with a lot of context, the meaning could be all over the place. It is like a word you can use for any and every emotional experience good, bad, or ugly.

Wow! This is an awesome word...gee-whizz!

Way to go, Ex. Hope you have good weather on moving day.

Guess the idea of this thread was not so awesome. But we all have good things happen to us everyday. Well most of us on most days.

But today I get my new four door fridge which will be awesome. (Actually, it has two drawers and two side by side doors.)

Awesome used to mean 'filled with awe' by some very wondrous subject such as The Grand Canyon. Now we use it for every day occurrences that are only remarkable. Incredible used to mean unbelievable but it no longer has that specific meaning. Even unbelievable - oh well.

No, this thread is very awesome––it cheers me up!

I bought a sausage roll for lunch today but they came in pairs so I gave the other one away––AWESOME!

Also bought some crisps and the nice lady in front of me in the line at the supermarket let me cut in front of her––AWESOME!

Having a friend over tonight––AWESOME!
