I have read a lot of articles on the internet that speak positively and negatively about meditation. I wonder what your opinion is on that? I would like to start meditating every morning, I also bought some relaxing candles, but I'm not sure how good meditation is.

I find it very beneficial, extremely so in fact. It can lower your blood pressure, help reduce stressful thoughts and ideas, calms the nervous system, opens your mind to limitless possibilities that can be very relaxing and pleasurable to contemplate. It can help you find your own center, your true self within, and teach you to accept yourself as you are, without condemnation or criticism from self or others if you permit it.

Go to sauna.

First clean yourself under the shower. You feel quite relaxed in this phase.
Next, go to the heat. (we call it löyly).
Sit still for a minute or two and let your body to react to the warmth.
Pour some water to the kiuas (the stones on the stove), and let the warmth take you like a hug.
If not did it earlier, here's the time to empty your mind from all the mundane s**t.
Throw more water to the stove and let the divine feeling fill your soul and end of every nerve fibre.

Sit still as long as you find it comfortable.
Wash yourself. Go to swim in some cool water, or take a cold shower.
In the anteroom, sit still and have a beer, or something refreshing to drink.
Still, don't think anything, just chillax.

This is Finnish meditation.

You're right, my bear! Vihta or vasta is an essential part of sauna culture, but not absolutely necessary. Anyhow, it's made of birch twigs, not from oak.
When you go in the midsummer night's sauna, doing it without a sauna whisk is considered a major misdemeanour.
