MIT Predicted the Collapse of Today's Society in 1972. And We're Right On Track.

What is the appropriate response to this information? Should one experience preemptive mourning, smirking schadenfreude, grim satisfaction or some sort of apocalyptic religious euphoria? Does ‘the-collapse-of-todays-society-in-1972’ represent a hyperbolic headline characterization of a 49 year-old prediction that much will have changed, or is it a prediction that a remnant human population numbering only a few tens of thousands will be reduced to scavenging the ruble in a futile attempt to stave off extinction?

I think you'll find that ruble is more normally spelt rouble!

It should really be spelled as "rubble".

As for the collapse, with Socialists/Communists having pushed their agenda hard in our society, and having some success, a collapse is to be expected, unless, that is, we push back and reject the fear-mongering, hateful rhetoric they spew.
It's hard to imagine how miserable the lives are of people who live in such fear and hate on a daily basis. But they demonstrate it for us daily.

Yes, the way those communists/socialists invaded the very seat of US democracy was an absolute disgrace

I think you should have placed this vitriol and hate in the Politics Forum - Oh just a sec!!
