He says the ship is 515 feet long, which matches the biblical account of being 300 cubits.

Researchers have scanned the ground using a method called electrical resistivity.

“If you shoot an electrical current below the ground and it hits a pocket of air, that has a different type of conductivity versus something like water or rock. So, the software can interpret the signals coming back and create a 3-D image.”

Question: Is it possible to replace versus with "from"?

"From" could be understandable, but not exactly synonymous.
"Compared to..." or "in contrast with..." would fit.

The combination of "different" and "versus" sounds odd to me.

This is Fox News, which is not respectable journalism. Don't try to learn from their use of English. Whistle

Actually, it was the researcher, Andrew Jones, who said it, not Fox News. Facts are annoying little things, aren't they?...Whistle

a method called electrical resistivity
Electrical resistivity, like density, can’t be a method. It could be called electrical resistivity technique/method, but here it's Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT), I think.
shoot an electrical current
You can shoot an electron, or a beam of electrons in any direction, but shooting an electrical current is not a valid concept.
a different type of conductivity
Different conductivity (different value of electrical conductivity, to be precise). There’re two "types" of (electrical) conductivities: superconductivity where electrical resistivity is zero or nearly so; and normal conductivity where it’s greater than zero and varies with different materials. Electrical conductivity is the inverse or reciprocal of electrical resistivity and vice versa. (There’s another type of conductivity called thermal conductivity, which is truly “a different type of conductivity”.)
the signals coming back
This is not active sonar.

Thar said, "Don't try to learn from their use of English." English is not the only subject they're not good at!

It is very sloppy English, but in terms of geophysics, you would call it 'resistivity' for short, 'coming back' is from underground, but I agree 'shooting a current' is a bit too sloppy.

This is how you might chat in the field but is not the English of communicating your work to the general public.
If you want to, digest the content, but don't analyse or try to copy the language.

'coming back' is from underground
Yes, ERT is all about things underground. The phrase 'coming back' gives the wrong impression of "signals coming back" to where "you shoot an electrical current ... ". The "signals coming around" may be a better choice as you need a circuit to measure the current.

you would call it 'resistivity' for short
Fine, if the context makes it clear 'resistivity' refers to `electrical resistivity'. However, the concept of thermal conduction as a means of heat transfer was, I believe, established long before electricity was discovered.

And there're hydraulic equivalents: fluid resistivity and fluid conductivity.
