What are the way to say "get ready" by which I mean to prepare oneself for further actions.

I got up at 8, got myself organized and set off to run errands.
I got up at 8, got ready and set off to run errands.
I got up at 8, prepared myself and set off to run errands.

You would say or write something like:

I got up at 8, got myself organized, and set off to run errands [about 9]. (Note the comma after "organized".) This sentence is OK, but see below.... I would at least suggest replacing "got myself organized, and set off..." with "got dressed, had a quick breakfast, and set off....")

I got up at 8, got ready, and set off to run errands. (Again, a comma after "ready" would help.) "Got ready" would be better and more colloquial than "got myself organized" in the first sentence. "Got ready" would cover such activities as "washed up" or "had a quick shower". "got dressed", "had some breakfast", and the like.

In my view, it is better to avoid the use of "got" twice. Also, there is no need to use the emphatic pronoun "myself" as this sense already exists in the given sentence. "Get organized" means "to arrange one's things or one's affairs so they can be dealt with effectively". "Prepared" is not the appropriate word in the given sentence. Therefore, I would prefer to say:

- I got up at 8 and after getting organized, I set off to run errands.
