Would everyone wearing face masks help us slow the pandemic?

Should it be “everyone wearing a face mask” instead?

Thanks.

Should it be “everyone wearing a face mask” instead? Yes. I think this is the best.

Thanks.

Yes - it's a'feature' of the word "everyone".
It almost always means many people, but it is addressing every ONE individually.

It can be tempting (if you're not paying attention to what you say or write) to use a plural (verb, relative clause, etc.), but it really should be singular.
