Hi,

If an airline decides on the seating arrangements, can I say they can "decide on my boarding pass" or "decide on the seating arrangements as reflected on my boarding pass"?

I'd appreciate your help.

The airline can assign you a seat.
The airline makes the seat assignment.
The airline determines your assigned seat.

You are assigned a seat by the airline.

When you buy your ticket, you have the entrance on that fly. When you check in, you are given the boarding pass, which includes your place in the plane - the row, window or aisle seat...

You can ask in the check-in if you could get a window seat in front or in the back, and if there's plenty of room, they might fullfil your wish. If not, they just give you some seat.

In the first place, the people behind the desk decide where you will be sitting, secondly their system.
