We should not waste our time.
Hiroshima atomic bomb saved millions of lives Japanese citizens, and at least hundred of thousands of Americans.
Japanese would not surrendered fighting to the very, literally understood, end. Their nation. Surrendering the weapon and becoming a prisoner of war was uncommon and treated with utter disgust by Japanese. The ideals of honour cherished by Japanese is something way above the average citizen characterised by a weak moral character.

Who attacked Pearl Harbour? Who began the war in Asia?

We should not waste our time, unless we are behaving without any deeper thought like former US President, Mr. B. Obama. [Let me address you...]

For after the rain when with never a stain The pavilion of Heaven is bare, And the winds and sunbeams with their convex gleams Build up the blue dome of air, I silently laugh at my own cenotaph, And out of the caverns of rain, Like a child from the womb, like a ghost from the tomb, I arise and unbuild it again.
