I don't recall ever seeing or hearing "benignity" used. Has anybody else?

As for diseases of very long continuance, insanity excepted, it is rare that they should be accompanied with incapacity; but it is certainly just that in them, as well as in more acute distempers, the sick should enjoy the benignity of the law.

Went to the pronunciation. Sounds like a very soft ‘m’ and not a ‘b’ so sounds like “menignity”. Why not an emphasis on the “b” on the first sylable?
