I think there should be a feature where there is a percentage next to each badge that shows how close you are to earning it.

The feature was implemented! Now you can see the progress of your badges and set a personal goal.

Thanks! This is great. To tell you the truth, I didn't think this would become a feature because my ideas are normally rejected. This is the first time a company accepted my idea, so thank you. It makes me realize that there are people who do understand me. Again, thank you.

I haven't seen any difference in my profile page.

If you go from your profile to "Badges", then use the drop down list to check a category - say "Word of the day sharer", it tells you "You're ready to start, set a goal" or "You earned the silver badge on 25th December 2017 - set a goal for gold" and so on.

You've made many of the gold badges I guess, but still . . .

Yeah, I got silver medal for playing Spelling bee.com on 3rd of December 2018, and I'm at 64% progress of gold medal. Not to mention 20% gold medal progress for Hangmanwordgame.com and I got silver medal on 6th of May 2019. And I play both games diligently every day, I know all expert words in Spelling-bee by heart almost without mistakes already. It will take forever to take the two golds probably. I'm not sure why it takes so long, but at least I know the progress.

I just earned enough neurons to feed a hungry child, and that got me thinking about something. What if my idea about the badges showing their completion percentage could also apply to the child hunger badges since they are both achieved slowly and over time by learning new information. What do you think about that idea, Mike-KS?

It might also be cool if there was a store where you could buy items using your neurons you have earned, like a goal saver for 1000 neurons that extends the deadline of your current goal(s).

I wonder how many neurons you need to get a Farlex Toaster.

That's the word! :)

It would seem that's a tad aleatory. Yes, those having higher brain levels have some advantage but a couple of dice still lurks behind the scene and those dice are loaded. :)

Well, that is one way to put it, lazarius, but do you think it would be a cool idea? and if so, what powerups would you like to see in the store(if it is added) and how much would that powerup cost?

What if everybody replies with ideas for stuff to be added in the store(if that feature is added, of course)?

This is great that you suggest new ideas to Farlex Dictionary systems. Do not be discouraged by the fact that you do not always get the answer or by the fact that not all your ideas get implemented. We read all your posts and ideas and often discuss them internally. Thank you for sharing your ideas :)

Hello,
Thanks for adding this feature - and thanks to Philip Horton for suggesting it. Applause

I am now at 99% of gold badge in Spelling bee game, I timed it so that I get the badge on my birthday on Friday. Dancing

I figured out how many games I needed to play to get 1% increase - it's 17. I need to complain a bit about it.
I can play only so many games and 17 games for 1% increase is simply a lot. If I play each game for 6 minutes
(2 minutes per round), that is 1 hour 42 minutes to get a 1% increase of the status. 102 minutes. You see? That
is just too much. I raised gold badge status in a Hangman game from 20% to 33% since February 16th. That's how slow
it is. Brick wall That's the reason only 28 people have gold badges (and 22 for playing Spelling bee) I suppose.
Can the number of games needed please be lowered? Pray Thanks a lot, if anyone's reading my rant.

PS: Philip - as for platinum badges - I don't agree, not until they are introduced at the Olympics. d'oh!

Thanks to Philip Horton.

I suggest every goal should have this feature as it's calculative and inspirational to achieve the goals.
