It was pouring this morning.
I went to buy something at grocery. After use the umbrella, I put it at the rear seat.
Then I went to pick my son.

"Why is the umbrella here?" my son asked.
"Is mine. I forget to put it away." I told him.

That was a folding umbrella. How to say the umbrella is not fold properly?

You could say it as you have here:
"It didn't fold up right."
"It isn't folded up."
"I left it unfolded to dry out."

Each time my son leaves the umbrella laying on the floor, I forget to put it away until I've tripped over it.
Time and again when I wash my coffee mug, I forget to put it away in the cupboard.

To say "It didn't fold up right." is not proper usage. Right denotes either a direction or right and wrong. The use of right in your example is most often used during informal conversations, but it remains incorrect. Better usage would be, "It didn't fold up properly." or "It didn't fold up well."

The umbrella was damp so I left it open to dry.
I didn't close the umbrella so it could dry.
