Today, stamp collectors and deltiologists—collectors of postcards—distinguish between postcards and postal cards. What is the difference? More...

In some places, one can send a postcard for a lower fee than a letter. Stamp collectors distinguish between postcards (which require a postage stamp) and postal cards (which have the postage pre-printed on them). While a postcard is usually printed by a private company, individual or organization, a postal card is issued by the relevant postal authority.

They would forthwith publish slanders unpunished,
The authors being anonymous,
The immediate publishers thereof sculking.

Postcards are great! I sent one from Fort Lauderdale to my grandparents that were unable to come to my wedding because of a disability. It was a beautiful wedding on the beach with my then fiance. My wife loved the postcard we found and it excellently portrayed where we were getting married! My grandparents still keep the postcard on their fridge next to our wedding ceremony photo.
