Looking at the chaotic conditions of/in the world, I feel sad.

Which is the correct preposition?

Thanks.

I guess you are not referring to the natural chaotic order of the world, you are referring to the man-made conditions.

Looking at the chaotic conditions in the world, I feel sad.

Looking at the Chaos that the world is in, I feel sad.

"Looking at the chaotic condition of the world..." works perfectly well - it's the plural "conditionS" which makes it unacceptable.

e.g. "Look at the condition of my jumper after you borrowed it! It's ruined!"
""I hated the dry condition of my hair after I used XYZ product."
"The condition of the house after the flood meant it was not safe to move back into."
