I'm a little surprised that Prescott, Az does not get any mention... it's the oldest rodeo and takes place during the frontier days over the 4th of July celebrations. Check it out for yourselves!

Payson Rodeo

For over 135 years the sport of Rodeo has been alive and kicking in the Rim Country. Named the “Best Small Town Rodeo” by True West Magazine in 2011, it is no wonder why thousands flock to Payson each year to experience the strong rodeo heritage that lives here.

World’s Oldest Continuous Rodeo Parade on Main Street
Bring the kids, the family and come enjoy one of the oldest traditions in the State of Arizona – its the August Doin’s World’s Oldest Continuous Rodeo Parade. Be entertained by the APS Clowns, horseback riders, float designers, local businesses and much more.

The Rodeo Parade has been a tradition that locals and visitors alike have come to enjoy for many years. Come spend the morning at the parade at 9:00 AM and then in the afternoon go out to the Rodeo.

It is a great time here in Payson, Arizona’s Cool Mountain Town!
