US Route 666

Renamed US Route 491 in 2003, US Route 666 was originally nicknamed "Devil's Highway" because of the common Christian belief that 666 is the number of the beast. First commissioned in 1926, the route, which runs from New Mexico to Utah, was given its infamous name because it was the sixth spur along the highway's parent US Route 66. Reminds me of a very controversial Swedish film from 1964, called '491'.
It had the tagline:
It is written that 490 times you can sin and be forgiven*. This motion picture is about the 491st.

Shouldn't it be about time to change this evil and infamous number?

* (alluding to the Gospel of Matthew)

I've been down the Arizona section of HWY 191, so beautiful, and many places the speed limit is 5 MPH due to the twists and turns! Takes forever but no big trucks!
