How can a living creature not feel pain? It is almost impossible from the evolutionary point of view. Withdrawal from pain and potential life threat is an important survival mechanism.

Not all animals can feel pain in biological level. Even though the evolutionary burden of awareness about the external world is necessary the most, it is not practical for every biological solution given by the evolution itself.
