So, if all your buddies' weakness have betrayed them, you'll be likely to show your strength?
I see no point referring to strength in such a contemptuous tone.

He just points out the dualism of weak and strong. There is no strong if there is no weak, like there is no yang if there is no yin. Also, strong is weak compared with stronger.

Very interesting. We are assuming that there is dualism. What if there is no dualism?
I think I may be out of my realm... I am for the brain over the brawn and I know beauty is in nature and everything connected, which is all vibration and energy. Hope this is all relevant. Elizabeth in NY~

They were conquerors, and for that you want only brute force-- nothing to boast of, when you have it, since your strength is just an accident arising from the weakness of others. They grabbed what they could get for the sake of what was to be got. It was just robbery with violence, aggravated murder on a great scale, and men going at it blind--as is very proper for those who tackle a darkness. The conquest of the earth, which mostly means the taking it away from those who have a different complexion or slightly flatter noses than ourselves, is not a pretty thing when you look into it too much. Everything is relative, strength viewed through the weakness of others may be cut down to its actual size. Marlow, the narrator of Heart of Darkness,
does that to the savage colonialism of Leopold II of Belgium. And while he is at it he suggests that the Victorian colonialism, its devotion to
efficiency at least, is relatively a notch better.
