Content makes poor men rich; discontent makes rich men poor.

Satan is wiser now than before, and tempts by making rich instead of poor.

Yeah. And if you can't conceive it then it's virtually non-existent... Problem solved!

"The eye of a needle" is scripture quoting Jesus recorded in the synoptic gospels:
I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.

The rich turned this on its head implying that poor people are so for some inherent defect in their character. However, everywhere the children are the ones most affected by poverty.

I don't know what rich people were like in Jonathan Swift's day, but many people in 2017 find that well-to-do people are, in general, much nicer human beings than many poor people.

This is just one more reason why the Bible is primarily directed to the poor ... both of material goods and of spirit.

Even harder for those who abound in riches is to conceive how they should count their blessings.
