Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation

Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a diagnostic tool that delivers a high-intensity magnetic pulse over the skull and neck, stimulating the upper motor neurons and nerve tract. This allows the timing of electrical impulses traveling from the brain to muscles to be measured as well as interconnections within the brain to be studied.
