Russians hacked the Republican National Committee’s computer systems

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/12/09/us/obama-russia-election-hack.html

Quote:
"American intelligence agencies have concluded with “high confidence” that Russia acted covertly in the latter stages of the presidential campaign to harm Hillary Clinton’s chances and promote Donald J. Trump, according to senior administration officials.

They based that conclusion, in part, on another finding — which they say was also reached with high confidence — that the Russians hacked the Republican National Committee’s computer systems in addition to their attacks on Democratic organizations, but did not release whatever information they gleaned from the Republican networks."

Unfortunately, I don't see anything coming of this, even though I signed the petition and hope others will as well.

This election has just been the latest very minor symptom of a much larger disease and unless we address the larger disease we are only putting a bandaid on an ax wound.

I do hope that this latest minor symptom has finally gotten the attention of the country as a whole. This because curing the disease will be very hard work and will require a large majority of citizens to not only help but to sacrifice. The fact that this sacrifice includes all of the 1% and all corporate interests just means that we have a very difficult job ahead of us.

With my research into the subjects of logic and rhetoric devices, without regard to differing political or moral beliefs and opinions, I wonder if whoever broke into the Republican and Democratic computer systems, just did not find enough dirt in the Republican files to comment on. I also wonder if the republicans were better at keeping secrets out of e-mail? M

Why yes, James, that must be it.
