Please Free Dictionary. You changed my user name from boneyfriend to boney_friend. Is that because I changed my email address? I'd like for it to be changed back.

Also, how do you email another member?

Boneyfriend,

It looks as if you have a brand new account - you went from advanced member to newbie. When you changed your email address you must have canceled your old account? Admins will have to help. If they don't answer you here, you can private message them. Go to Members and see if one is listed there - I don't know names any more since they changed.

To private message someone, look for and click on the button marked PM. It can be found on their Profile page at the top or at the bottom of their post. It is a little blue square with four colored dots in it.

To find their profile page, go to Forum Search on the toolbar at the top, type in the name of the poster you want, and click on posts. Posted by drops down and you click on that. Then click on their name. There may be easier ways but that's what I discovered works for me.

Good luck.

ETA - I just typed in TFD in the Forum Search box, then clicked on posted by, and got the profile of an admin. Click on this website, then find the PM box to get an admin.

Hope, you are the best. Not just for doing this. I have agreed with and admired your posts in The Free Dictionary. I'm going to print your response and thank you.

Hi!

I just looked and you have two names!
You are the advanced member Boneyfriend and the newbie Boney_friend.

You probably have the second one saved on your computer - you'll have to log out of TFD and then log in manually (type 'Boneyfriend' and your password, don't let the computer do it for you).

The admins should be able to help.

The Lead Programmer is MikeKS, but he hasn't visited the forum for a few weeks.
jfullerton is an admin who was in touch on Friday. If you click on this link, then on the "PM" button at the top left, you can send an 'e-mail' direct.

They should be able to 'merge' the two identities.

It looks like you have created two accounts. I have sent you a private message about it.

Thanks for the kind words, Boneyfriend, and Drago for the info.

Glad TFD is getting you straightened out, "friend with either name". :)

And thanks to the Admins who look after our site so well.
