"We know his goal is to make America great again," a woman said. "It’s on his hat. And we see it every time it’s on TV. Everything that he’s doing, there’s no doubt why he’s doing it: it’s to make America great again."

The current information on the Trump University and the scam that it was is very telling. And also more and more we hear about blatant disregards for the law. I just don't understand why SOME people are backing him.

The high polling results in favour of "The Donald" with his few ideas scare the hell out of me. I believe there will be another Mid East war if Trump is inaugurated as President of the United States. Trump will, (in my opinion) put U.S. equipment and troops into Israel and then into Lebanon on the way to Syria. I do hope that the voters will see through Trump's bluster and showmanship, and it is seen for the poor comedy that is his major campaign performance.

Romany asked in another thread why Americans are so angry. Here is Tom Brokaw's analysis on this Super Tuesday in the election. Tom Brokaw was a very respected news anchor for years. Hope the video is not blocked elsewhere.

Larry Reed above worries about a new war if Trump gets elected.

There is more of a chance that Trump would close his eyes to everything outside the USA and just concentrate on himself and his fellow billionaires getting even richer(?) over the backs of the 'little' people. Trump the new(est) Czar. He is in the same league as despots as Putin, Mugabe and Kim Jung-un. All bullies.

This is the weakest bunch of candidates in living memory.

They're not just bullies, they're mass murderers. Not a Trump fan (really not a Trump fan), but not sure he's earned admission to that particular group.

It is telling that Gen. Hayden has said that if Trump ordered the military to carry out some of the things he has promised, they would have no choice but to disobey the orders since they would be contrary to US and international law. What a mess that would create. But then, with Trump, it would only be e pluribus unum as far as the messes that would exist.

He's a crass, oversensitive, ignorant, egotistical, cowardly bumpkin who says 2 different things with the same mouth and then denies it. He lacks the courage of his doubts.

Can't help but agree with that. It may, in fact, be the weakest bunch of candidates in American history. You'd have to cherry pick among presidential candidates/presidents in order to devise so weak a pool. Harding plus Grant and Johnson (the first one.)

Hillary Clinton is such an empty suit that it's pathetic. Bernie Sanders is, no doubt, a decent man, but he has the leadership qualities of a corner grocer. The Republican field looks like the contents of a clown car spilling out onto a circus ring. Beyond pathetic.

Welp. That's what happens when gerrymandering and institutionalized corporate candidate bribery/purchasing dominate the political process.
